HR Advisor

As HR Advisor Working as part of a shared services HR team across two UK sites in Tottenham and Warrington, you will be responsible for delivery of a full range of human resource services working alongside the HR and Management teams ensuring the smooth running of the day to day HR function. While the print and secure handling of our clients’ direct and transactional mail remains at the heart of our organisation, we continue to invest in-line with our clients’ needs and developments in the marketplace to provide multichannel solutions for all our customer communications from a single source.  This includes VideoSmart which provide Interactive and Personalised Video Solutions and the new division to our business which focuses on digital and voice contact centre communications as a primary channel.

Working as part of a shared services HR team across MBA’s two UK sites in Tottenham and Warrington, as an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for delivery of a full range of human resource services working alongside the HR and Management teams ensuring the smooth running of the day to day HR function with specific focus on the end to end recruitment process, induction, orientation, training and identifying current and future requirements to support managers in people management through data analysis and one to one communication.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Build strong relationships and regularly communicate with the management team on HR related issues and escalate when appropriate
  • Contribute to the investigation and future implementation on a new HRIS system
  • Update and maintain the HR Information System data ensuring accuracy of new starters / leavers, T&A and changes in employees’ details during employment;
  • Compile through HRIS data monthly management reports; and explore areas of ongoing improvement;
  • Drive business performance in partnership with the management team and aligned to the organisation’s objectives
  • Roll out policy and process training to Managers (2021)
  • Partner with line managers to review employee relations, resourcing, performance and absence management and attend employee relation meetings with managers when required and appropraite
  • Liaise with third when required including Occupational Health, Benefits providers, agencies etc
  • Handle all HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements
  • Carry out formal consultations when required, but not limited to TUPE, redundancies, welfare meetings etc
  • Drive and co-ordinate the end to end recruitment and selection processes
  • Administer the new starter process and ensure all processes are adhered to including right to work in the UK, references and DBS
  • Manage the new starter induction process and carry out induction and  ISO compliance training for new starters
  • Work with team to review Company Policies and Procedures in line with employment legislation
  • Make recommendations to drive positive change throughout the business
  • Participate in all HR related projects including review of handbook and policies
  • Supply information for compliance audits and tenders when requested
  • Participate in the health & safety committee meetings and support H&S processes
  • Maintain CPD requirement as requested by professional body (CIPD)
  • Ad hoc HR projects

Skills & Experience;

  • Ideally CIPD level 5 or working towards
  • Experience in  HR information systems including,  inputting, and compiling data report writing etc
  • Knowledge and experience of best practice on recruitment and selection
  • Ability to manage the employee lifecycle including recruitment and onboarding and maintaining the HRIS system
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures 
  • Adhere and drive all compliance requirements and company policies
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group 
  • Excellent written communication skills to produce correspondence and reports 
  • The ability to research, analyse and reason logically within timeframes
  • Experience of working effectively in teams 
  • Ability to identify development needs 
  • Experience in providing advice and support to managers
  • Experience in implementing new initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent HR administration skills
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times
  • Presentation skills (for training purposes)
  • Computer literate on all MS programmes
  • Flexible and adaptable to support Warrington on an adhoc basis
