Travel Expert

Due to continued growth our client who is one of the UK's leading and award winning independent holiday rental providers is looking for a Travel Expert to join their rapidly growing team in Chester. As a Travel Expert, you will be the voice that our clients’ customers speak to when calling to book their next holiday over the phone. The role of Travel Expert involves speaking to Customers daily, sharing your great experiences with our customers and motivating and innovating customers to purchase our products. This role is responsible for maximising every opportunity and ensuring that the purchase exceeds customer expectations

The role involves ensuring that every call maximises income per booking, that the quality of the call exceeds customer expectations and that all Company procedures are adhered to.

***The Travel Experts must have a previous track record in selling within a Call Centre environment and have a passion for delivering outstanding results.***

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Reservations expert may be called upon to provide support to other areas within the business, dependent on business needs
  • To deliver/Exceed agreed targets within the Reservations areas
  • To deliver outstanding customer service on every call and going the extra mile for our customers
  • Maximising all sales opportunities
  • Feeding back to Reservations Team Manager’s on opportunities to enhance the customer experience
  • Feeding back to Reservations Team Manager’s on opportunities to improve Sykes processes
  • To adhere to all Reservations and Company procedures
  • Effective communication with customers, both internal and external
  • To operate within FCA guidelines

Essential Experience:

  • Background in sales within a call centre environment
  • Skills in negotiating
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record in meeting/exceeding targets
  • Ability to recognise improvement areas and share these
  • IT literate

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in the travel industry
