Outreach Strategist

Our client is looking for an ambitious and creative Outreach Strategist to join their exciting and  expanding Online Marketing Team - you will take ownership on performing strategic link building and content campaigns for all sites under the brand as well as acting as Line Manager to our team of Outreach Executives. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced professional with a good knowledge of SEO, a proven record of delivering results from outreach campaigns, and experience in the creation of creative/shareable content to join a passionate and creative team and play a crucial part in a successful and award winning department, that is itself part of a successful and award winning business. Working within our dedicated SEO team your responsibility as Outreach Strategist will be as direct line management to our Outreach Executives, delivering strategies for the link acquisitions and campaigns and as such you will be responsible for supporting and managing workloads, training and development, performing regular personal reviews and setting KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

As our newest Outreach Strategist, you will be accountable for delivery in the following areas:

  • Creation of content campaigns and strategies targeted on link acquisition
  • Utilise keyword reports to highlight key opportunities for driving session growth
  • Use Google Analytics to monitor session and referral performance of partners
  • Management of Outreach Executive and regular performance reviews
  • Regular reporting and feedback on outreach performance
  • Regular auditing of all websites link profiles
  • Perform Disavow maintenance to ensure the continued organic health of the business
  • Create well-written, engaging web content that is also optimised for search engines
  • Commission engaging creative media from external agencies, in order to support blog, PR, and outreach content

Essential Experience:

  • Previous SEO experience on link acquisition (minimum 1-year’s agency/in-house)
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Experience using backlink SEO tools (SEMRush, MOZ, Buzzstream, Ahrefs)
  • Experience in creating competitor backlink analysis & reports
  • Proven ability to create outreach campaigns
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Google Guidelines and SEO best practises

Nice to have:

  • Portfolio of key influencers with working relationships
  • Experience working in a lead role, without supervision
  • Experience using Google Analytics & Google Search Console
  • Experience in penalty recovery and manual actions
