Business Development Executive

We are currently recruiting for a number of Business Development Executives to join their growing team based on the outskirts of Chester which is commutable on public transport. As Business Development Executive your role will be to generate leads, sell directly to customers across various mediums, manage pipeline activity in order to convert new business opportunities. Acting as an ambassador for our client and working closely with our Sales & Marketing Manager, our Business Development Executives use lots of different resources to introduce our services to potential clients. As well as securing new business opportunities, this team also builds long-term relationships with our existing clients. You must have excellent communication skills, self-motivation and previous telesales experience.

A day in the life….

  • Meet agreed monthly targets based on sales revenue and activity figures
  • Generate leads and make outbound calls, scheduling follow-up activity
  • Follow up calls accordingly to warm pre-qualified data, previous customers, and clients who have previously expressed an interest  
  • Manage client trials ensuring exceptional service throughout their experience in order to convert into a paying client
  • Send out company information and relevant paperwork
  • Responsible for the long-term relationships and growth of existing customers
  • Manage and build your own personal pipeline ensuring that customers are getting required level of contact and service
  • Responsible for converting revenue opportunities both over the phone and face to face if required
  • Identify and progress larger commercial opportunities where possible
  • Manage pipeline and forecast future revenue to Sales and Marketing Manager on a monthly basis

Essential skills:

  • Previous proven telesales experience, pitching for business and closing sales
  • A proven track record in a sales environment
  • Excellent telephone manner with a confident and open style
  • Tenacity and resilience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to plan and organise your workload
  • Ability to relate to customers across a range of positions, from sole traders to directors & chief executives within large corporations
  • Enthusiasm to work for a small but growing company and a desire to help the company expand and broaden its position within the industry
