Creative Design Team Leader

We are recruiting for a Creative Design Team Leader to work with a global brand within a rapidly expanding organisation. This role will support with the day to day running of the Creative Design Team to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard and to the deadlines set. You will be responsible for encouraging the team to develop their skills while keeping them inspired. You must also be a strong communicator and be responsible for ensuring the ‘look and feel’ for all brands are maintained throughout all areas of design. This is a brand new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Creative Design Team Leader who is passionate about creative design whilst leading a team with an interest in international crafts. As Creative Design Team Leader, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to trouble shoot. The Role:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Creative Design Team Leader working with a global brand within a rapidly expanding organisation. This role will support with the day to day running of the Creative Design Team to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard and to the deadlines set. You will be responsible for encouraging the team to develop their skills while keeping them inspired. You must also be a strong communicator and be responsible for ensuring the ‘look and feel’ for all brands are maintained throughout all areas of design. You will take ownership of projects and work through to completion, with the passion and enthusiasm to drive them to a successful outcome for the brand. You should be confident dealing with internal stakeholders, presenting ideas and concepts. This pivotal role involves working as part of the Creative Design team and would suit an individual with experience of leading a team, as well as having a keen interest in both the UK and international craft markets.


 Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a good understanding of the look & feel for all brands
  • Communicate and manage all team tasks clearly and effectively
  • Ensure all tasks meet branding guidelines
  • Develop individual specialisms and support the team with theirs
  • Report weekly progress & deadline issues
  • Support team with die designs following upcoming making and visual trends
  • Support the marketing strategy by identifying opportunities for growth and development
  • Creates projects for sponsored events
  • Researches key trends and provides reports
  • Inspire team members to develop skills


The Candidate:


  • The successfully appointed Creative Graphic Designer will have the following skills and abilities:
  • Experience of working in a creative environment
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe software including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A high standard of visual communication skills
  • Be highly creative with the ability to adapt to a wide variety of creative environments/challenges
  • Articulate, friendly and outgoing in order to convey a variety of ideas and concepts
  • Ability to work to a very high standard while under pressure
  • Have a keen interest in the craft industry
  • Monitor developments and trends within the craft industry, both in the UK and internationally
  • Possess excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Must be organised and have excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience of working within the creative/craft industry would be of benefit
  • Experience in leadership
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills
